Jack Rogers
CEO
Jack Rogers, MBA, is a 35 year healthcare executive having held leadership positions at Massachusetts Medicaid, the Boston Medical Center and a publicly traded Fortune 500 insurance company. As CEO of PFA, Jack loves the win/win Mission, Vision and Values of Patient Funding to assist patients, help providers and benefit communities. Jack’s experience in the public sector, within a major teaching hospital and working for a private payer, gives him unique insight into how to align incentives for patients, providers and payers leading to a more efficient health care system that delivers superior outcomes to patients.

In his free time Jack enjoys spending time with family and friends on Cape Cod, rooting for his favorite pro and college sports teams and sweating profusely on his Peloton. Jack served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest after college.
Jennifer Samaras
Founder and COO
Jennifer Samaras BS, MHA has 25 years of healthcare experience working with providers and Medicaid State assistance programs. Jen is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Patient Funding Alternatives. The company was created to assist patients receiving services in a Provider setting navigate the complexity of public insurance benefits and for providers to optimize health insurance payments while generating cost savings for taxpayers. Jen leads operational processes at PFA  by working with State agencies and Provider Partners to integrate a Medicaid benefit bedside. PFA has now grown to include 8 States and dozens of hospitals throughout the country. From 2002-2013 Jennifer worked for the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Commonwealth Medicine primarily working with MassHealth Third Party Liability programs including Premium Assistance and Enhanced Coordination of Benefits. Jennifer was a MA/RI HFMA Board member from 2017-2021.

Outside of PFA, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and two dogs. She coaches U11 Girls Soccer for the town of Andover and is a big fan of any and all things outdoors.
James Fox
Founder and CTO
James (Mac) Fox is a healthcare industry IT expert and one of the two Founders of PFA.

Mac performed analytical research for various Massachusetts state health programs including the Commonwealth’s Premium Assistance Program. He has worked on the state employer database responsible for tracking employer sponsored health insurance in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has also created databases indexing medical billing errors among other initiatives

For PFA, Mac brings IT and security expertise by partnering with top data hosting vendors that are security centered. He has shaped the IT infrastructure of PFA with a security first approach within all aspects of the organization. PFA’s internal systems have been custom-built to securely and efficiently identify potential patients from large data pools which are then facilitated along a complicated process that involves hospitals, employers, and state agency’s along with other entities. 

Mac’s French Bulldog Barnaby works alongside him in the office and at home. He enjoys cinema, gaming, as well as fitness in the form of weightlifting and jujitsu.
